Stop Smoking for God
Let us convey to our brothers and sisters who still smoke , that Allah Almighty has said :
وَلا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا
And do not kill yourselves , verily Allah is Merciful to you." ( An -Nisa ' 29 )
Al - Imam Ibn Kathir Rahimahullah explained in the book of his commentary :
In connection with this verse Ibn Murdawaih explores a hadith by Al - A'masy , from Abu Salih , from Abu Hurayrah radi ' anhu is reported that the Prophet sallallaahu ' alaihi wa sallam once said :
"Whoever kills himself with an iron , then iron it will be in his hand with which he pierced his stomach later on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell in a state dwell therein for ever . And whoever kills himself with poison , the poison was in his hands for he sips inside Hell in a state dwell therein forever . " ( HR . Bukhari - Muslim ) .
The same thing has been narrated by Abuz Zanad of Al A'raj , from Abu Hurayrah radi ' anhu from the Prophet sallallaahu ' alaihi wa sallam with lafaz the like . ( Tafsir Ibn Kathir , the Section 5 ) .
Has laoreet percipitur ad. Vide interesset in mei, no his legimus verterem. Et nostrum imperdiet appellantur usu, mnesarchum referrentur id vim.
