Learning the Quran  Correct Readings, ~ It is highly encouraged and recommended in Islam. Our Prophet (s.a.w) said, "Adorn and decorate the (Holy) Quran with your (good) voice." This Hadees directly implies that the Muslims should do the Quran recitation beautifully. In fact, it is extremely important to recite the Quran in a good manner. It is a good idea to seek formal education of the Quran recitation.

In the Muslim world, there are so many different words and phrases used for the Quran recitation. Some of the most well known of these words and phrases are given as follows.

All of the above words and phrases refer to the Quran recitation. Undoubtedly, the recitation of Quran is a source of great blessings and virtues granted by Allah Almighty. Many people regard it as the source of the virtues, which will immensely help in the hereafter.

Along with the recitation of Qur'an, it is extremely important for a person to understand the meanings of the Qur'an. when a single word of the Qur'an is recited, it brings ten virtues. Nevertheless, when a person reads the translation of the Qur'an, there is a bright chance that his or her life will be transformed. There are certain manners of the Quran recitation that a Muslim must know.One should be neat and clean. It is also good if one does the ablution; it is not necessary though. Other than that, all the Muslims must know that it is obligatory to listen silently if the Quran is being recited before them. It is a sign of great disrespect to talk when someone is reciting the Quran.

"And you are not (engaged) in any affair, nor do you recite concerning it any portion of the Quran, nor do you do any work but We are witnesses over you when you enter into it, and there does not lie concealed from your Lord the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven, nor anything less than that nor greater, but it is in a clear book". Yunus [10:61]
